Here is the video that I used in my presentation:

It is a great video that explains a lot about stem cells. I encourage watching at least the first 10 minutes.

This was a little while before his veto on the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act

These are just to get you started. There is a lot to know in the field of stem cells, and it is sure to become an integral part of our lives in the future....

Politician Stances on Stem Cell Research

The current politicians' stances on Stem Cell Research (SCR) cannot be summed up easily.
I hope this helps anyone who is interested in knowing the current stances on SCR, and helps eligible voters make a choice come election time.

Hilary Clinton is strongly in favor of SCR, and promises to raise funds for future SCR and to expand it to include more stem cell lines.
Here is a link to learn more about her stance on the issue: http://www.votehillary.org/CMS/node/737 .

Barack Obama also favors SCR, but not as strongly as Clinton. He believes that stem cells provide the key for future medical breakthroughs, but is leaning heavily towards only using existing stem cell lines.
Here is a link to learn more about his stance on the issue:

John McCain is strongly against using human embryonic stem cells for research, but is more than willing to expand research using adult stem cells.
Here is his view on the subject:

Ron Paul has no problem with SCR, but is against the federal funding of it. That is why he has backed President Bush in his veto of the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2005.
His stance is explained here:
